Emilie is both a fiction- and a documentary director, and her work focuses on the causes she is most passionate about, including women’s rights and other grey zone issues. Following a year of studying photography in California she continued on to a Bachelor of Arts in documentary film making at the Norwegian Tv-school in Lillehammer. In 2020 Emilie completed her Masters Degree in fiction directing, with a focus in series formats, at The Norwegian Film School.

In addition to her experience behind the camera, Emilie has appeared in front of the camera as the host of the web series, “Stuck”, on Aftenposten-TV. The series was nominated for the Gullruten Award in 2017, and sparked conversations around female empowerment. She is now developing her own series and fiction-projects and works as a commercial director for Motion Blur, and has directed commercials for companies like DnB, Krogsveen, NAF, Toyota and Ice.
